TRANSFORMED : A Ministry for Ex-Offenders

Transformed is a ministry that initially started in Brixton, London, and has now runs a branch here in Southampton. Run by people who have themselves experienced amazing transformation through Jesus Christ, Transformed not only seeks to support ex-offenders who have made a decision to follow Jesus, but also aims to reach out to those who are in darkness and show them the light that comes from turning to Him.

There are a number of ways in which Transformed is seeking to serve the citywide church in Southampton:

1. Monthly Transformed Meetings

Last Saturday of month : 7-9pm : The Victory Centre, 154-156 Portswood Road, Southampton SO17 2NH

A meeting full of testimonies from all walks of life including ex-offenders, who will be sharing the transformation that Jesus has brought about in their lives. Bring others and come and be challenged and inspired. For more information contact Noel on noelmcnamee7@yahoo.co.uk or 07939 349630.

2. Information and training about mentoring ex-offenders within your church
Transformed can offer information and advice about mentoring ex-offenders within your local church. Contact Noel (noelmcnamee7@yahoo.co.uk) for more information on 023 8023 0950.

3. A website full of testimonies

Transformed have a website containing video and written testimonies of many men and women from difficult backgrounds who have experienced the transforming power of Jesus turning their lives around. These testimonies are a great resource for evangelism and encouragement, and Transformed have made them available as free google downloads. Take a look for yourself at http://transformed.org.uk

Dates for the diary

Brixton Transformed will hold their meeting on Sunday 6th November. We will not be able to provide transport to this meeting but please see Noel at the Southampton meeting if you would like more information about it.
The 4th Southampton Recovery Course is underway at the Victory Centre in Portswood. This is a free Christian course based on the Twelve Steps programme used by Alcoholics Anonymous for people recovering from any form of addiction or compulsive behaviour.
